Has anyone ever used a dance video and actually learned how to dance?
I just bought "Hip Hop Moves For The Club – The Lazy Guy's Way To Become A Good Dancer… FAST!"
I have zero dance skill at all, i have no rhythm i literally get laughed at when i try to dance, will this video help or will any video help. i can't afford to take dance classes.
im sure if you watch it and practice you will be a great dancer, Napoleon Dynamite could do it….

I am also gay. I watched a Michael Jackson video once and learned all his dance moves in about 10 minutes.

That video sounds like it will give you some basic moves, maybe help you get on the rhythm of the music, but its not going to make you a star. It is unlikely that video, or any video, really, is going to get you tricking out in the middle of the floor. It may help you dance enough that you can fit in.
Here is the rule of thumb. Dancing, just like singing, acting, playing an instrument, writing, any sport, any game, etc. requires practice. No one gets great fast, and especially not lazy people (I am going off of the title, "The Lazy Guy's Way…", I am not saying you are lazy.
What all of those arts and skills require is practice and knowledge. The video may provide you with some basic knowledge. You will have to practice a lot, and watch yourself to see if you look like the people in the video (use a mirror at home, or stand near a sliding door to see your reflection). But it is going to take time and effort; if you are not going to try hard and keep at it, return the video now for the money. You cannot give up if you don't look like Chris Brown in the next 4 weeks, because you will not.
If you want advanced training, you will have to find a way to take classes or get someone with a high degree of skill to instruct you. No video can give you enough personal attention/knowledge to go beyond a beginner level.
