would you get sued for putting a school dance video on youtube?
i put my school dance on youtube and this one teacher said that i have to take it off so i did. then she said that me and my parents would get sued for it and not her…
And i was all like if i would of known that don’t you think i that wouldn’t have put that video on youtube? I’m a young person that doesn’t know much so what now? Please, i really need answers!
No, as far as I know you can’t get sued for posting a video like that on youtube, but It’s always good to have the permission of the people who participated in the dance to post it on youtube, just to avoid complains, but NO, she can’t sue you or your parents for posting a dancing video like that…

Oh, complete and total BS. Unless there was something really ugly in there, the absolute worst that’ll happen is some asshat record label will have it taken down. People don’t get sued for inadvertently putting videos with copyrighted music in them on Youtube.

Can you be sued? Yes.
Will you be sued? Doubtfully. Youtube generally just removes the audio.
That being said, it is possible, and if it happens then it could be extremely costly.

hmm that would suck for me i have about 20 different dances from my school since 6 grade and i’m in 9 now. so no youtube has never even taken the audio of it so your teacher is full of it
